Delhi Election 2025: As Delhi prepares for its 2025 Assembly elections, AAP aims for a third consecutive term, while BJP seeks to end a 27-year losing streak. Congress, eager for a comeback, intensified its campaign on the final day.

Delhi Election 2025: The intense campaigning for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections wrapped up at 6 pm on Monday, February 3.
Voting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, with results announced on Saturday, February 8.
AAP confident
The ruling AAP is optimistic about securing a third consecutive term, emphasizing its governance achievements and welfare programs. Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, along with Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, addressed three rallies, including one in Kalkaji, to galvanize supporters on the last day of campaigning.
Kejriwal estimated that the ruling party could win 55 of the 70 assembly seats in Delhi. "But if women make a concerted effort—everyone should vote and persuade the men in their households to vote for AAP—then it could secure more than 60 seats," Kejriwal posted on X.
The AAP comfortably won the last two Delhi Assembly elections in 2015 and 2020.
BJP's attempt at power in Delhi
Seeking to regain power in Delhi after 27 years, the BJP conducted 22 roadshows and rallies. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President J P Nadda, and several BJP chief ministers led the campaign on Monday.
Congress's Existential Battle
The Congress, striving for a revival after not winning any seats in the last two elections, also intensified its efforts. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held separate roadshows in Kalkaji and Kasturba Nagar, aiming to restore the party's lost influence in the capital.
Congress was in power in Delhi for 15 years until 2013.
Approximately 1.56 crore voters are eligible to vote at 13,766 polling stations on Wednesday. Among them, 83.76 lakh are men, 72.36 lakh are women, and 1,267 are third-gender voters.
In its attempt to regain relevance, Congress has labeled Kejriwal as "Farziwal" (Fake) and a "Chhota Recharge" (small recharge) of Modi.
The outcome of this fiercely contested election will decide if the AAP maintains its dominance, the BJP ends its losing streak, or Congress makes an unexpected comeback.
